Payment Gateway Options
For automated credit card transactions, the Woogloo system is currently integrated with the following payment gateways:
- WorldPay (www.worldpay.com) – International
- Positives:
- Very easy to deal with – 24/7 telephone help service (international call required).
- No need for a merchant account (cheaper and less hassle)
- Multicurrency without delay – i.e. you don’t potentially get stung by exchange rate changes.
- Automated future pay system for automated subscription payments – all fully integrated with e-StudioMax’s automated Invoice/Statement system.
- Negatives:
- Payments can only be transferred from the WorldPay system to your account at the end of a month.
- PayPal (www.paypal.com) – International (favours US businesses)
- Positives:
- Free set-up.
- No need for a merchant account (cheaper and less hassle)
- Multicurrency without delay – i.e. you don’t potentially get stung by exchange rate changes.
- Automated future pay system for automated subscription payments – all fully integrated with e-StudioMax’s automated Invoice/Statement system.
- Negatives:
- Very hard to deal with – no telephone service, no real email service – in fact, contacting them is almost impossible if you have a problem.
- Payments can only be transferred from the PayPal system to your account at the end of a month.
- Does not always return a complete transaction to our system - we advise the purchase of our POS system if you choose to assist with this issue.
- PayStation (www.paystation.co.nz) – New Zealand
- Positives:
- Payments transferred to your merchant account overnight.
- Negatives:
- Requires a New Zealand bank merchant account – hard to get and adds extra expense and set-up costs.
- No automatic future payment system – currently.
- Multiple currency transactions only available with a BNZ Merchant account and conversions are calculated on a delayed basis, which exposes you to currency fluctuations.
- DPS (www.dps.co.nz) – New Zealand
- Positives:
- Payments transferred to your merchant account overnight.
- Automated future pay system for automated subscription payments – can be fully integrated with e-StudioMax’s automated Invoice/Statement system.
- Negatives:
- Requires a New Zealand bank merchant account – i.e. hard to get and adds extra expense and set-up costs.
- Multiple currency transactions only available with a BNZ Merchant account and conversions are calculated on a delayed basis, which exposes you to currency fluctuations.
- High-cost solution.
- Very inflexible for those ‘unusual’ programming requirements.
- ZipZap (www.zipzap.co.nz) – New Zealand
- Positives:
- Payments transferred to your merchant account overnight.
- Automated future pay system for automated subscription payments – can be fully integrated with e-StudioMax’s automated Invoice/Statement system.
- Very easy to deal with and flexible for unusual programming requirements.
- Negatives:
- Requires a New Zealand bank merchant account – i.e. hard to get and adds extra expense and set-up costs.
- Multiple currency transactions only available with a BNZ Merchant account and conversions are calculated on a delayed basis, which exposes you to currency fluctuations.
